Six-year-old Carson and his grandfather James Conley are best buddies.

Carson, from Dallas, and James of Charlotte, North Carolina, love spending time together. James was there at his grandson’s birth, first birthday, most vacations, first day of school, kindergarten graduation, basketball games, baseball games, the loss of his first tooth, and even taught him to ride a bike.

However, as you can imagine, the distance between them was inconvenient. So, James, a 59-year-old retired military veteran, decided to surprise his grandson by closing the gap for good.
