Mark Sovel is a broadcast veteran based in Los Angeles. He recently graduated summa cum laude from California State University Long Beach, earning a bachelor's degree in journalism with a minor in political science. While pursuing his degree, he served as a full-time intern at The Journal, the daily news podcast of The Wall Street Journal, and Spotify. He was producer and co-host of the Jonesy’s Jukebox radio show with Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones. Sovel has been a voice-over announcer for television series on PBS SoCal and was founding music director and on-air host at Indie 103.1 in Los Angeles, dubbed ‘America’s coolest commercial station’ by Rolling Stone magazine.
