July 19: The Oakland Athletics' Nick Allen loses his helmet as he tries to avoid a pitched ball against the Boston Red Sox during the fourth inning at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. The A's won the game, 6-5.

July 18: The Seattle Mariners' Teoscar Hernandez (35) is called out by home plate umpire Mike Muchlinski after being tagged by Minnesota Twins catcher Christian Vazquez during the first inning at T-Mobile Park.

June 24: Houston Astros relief pitcher Ryne Stanek let his feelings be known after he was called for a balk, yielding what proved to be the game-winning run against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was ejected for his tirade.
